Rainy Day Fun

Another rainy day here in Fairview. Our morning started off with snuggles on the couch, of which this momma can't get enough!

Later in the morning, we were listening to Joshua's fridge radio and I was singing. He turned to me, put his finger to his lips and said, "Ssshhhh!" HA! I have no idea where he picked this up...I know I sometimes say, "ssshhh," to him when we're in church, but I don't think I've ever done the finger thing! It was so cute, I had to get him to do it again for a picture! :-) It's good that he's learning this now, so in a few months when we say, "Ssshhh, don't wake the baby," he'll know exactly what we mean!

And the days in the high chair are no more! He is just getting too big and heavy to lift into that high chair for every meal, so a new booster seat it is! He loves sitting at the table like such a big boy!

According to the forecast, it's supposed to rain all day. A perfect day for doing laundry, cleaning, lots of play time and maybe even a movie or two. :-)

Have a terrific Tuesday!

Love,
M, K & JJ

Date Night!

Last night, Mike and I got to go out on our first date in months! We had a nice Italian dinner and then hit the movies. It was so nice to be able to go out and enjoy each other's company without a little one clamoring for our attention. We have decided to try to make this a monthly occurrence, but we'll see if we're able to stick to that!

And, of course, we had to get a picture with our little guy before we left! He loves the girls here who baby-sit him, so he doesn't mind at all when we leave him.

And, the picture everyone has been asking for...18 weeks and already getting big! I am carrying this baby much higher than Joshua. Still feeling great, though a bit tired...but, that's to be expected I suppose!

Have a great day!

Can't Get Enough...

...of that adorable, cheesy grin! :-)

Mommy's Kitchen Helper

Joshua is such an explorer, and is always getting into my pantry and cupboards, pulling out anything he can get his hands on! Shortly after I had put all the groceries away, there he was taking them all back out...guess he didn't like the way I organized them.

Who needs toys when you can play with pasta and cake mixes?

I wasn't doing anything, Momma, I swear!

Anatomy of the Brains

WAY Behind!

Oh man, I am so far behind in posting! Our summer is turning out to be busy, busy, busy! We've been keeping active with church activities, softball games, dr.'s appointments, play dates, housework, visitors and lots of playtime outdoors! It has been hot hot HOT these past couple days, so Joshua has been spending lots of time in his kiddie pool! The heat doesn't seem to bother him, but this pregnant momma can only stand it for so long!

Mr. 17-mos.-going-on-13-years has developed a little toddler AT-TI-TUDE! Oh my. Most of the time, he is very well-behaved, but when something doesn't go his way, watch out! The screaming begins - our neighbors probably think we are harboring a banshee! We are working on ways to tackle this new behavior...I thought this wasn't supposed to start until closer to TWO?!?!

Well, we'd better get started on the housework for the day! Have a great Tuesday, and try to keep cool!

Memorial Day

Today we remember all the men and women who have lost their lives in service to our country (as well as their families). Thank you, all, for fighting for our freedom, and thank you, Lord, that we are blessed with such freedom!

We had a wonderful weekend - Joshua got to spend his weekend with both sets of grandparents - what a blessed little boy! I know I have posted tons of pool pictures lately, but he is seriously such a water baby!

And this is what happens when Momma and Daddy say it's time to get out of the pool and go inside...hopefully we can splash again tomorrow!

It was nice to be able to spend the weekend surrounded by family. I cannot say it enough - we are truly so very blessed!

We hope you had a wonderful weekend as well! Can you believe tomorrow is the last day of May? Say WHAT?!?!

Love and blessings,
The Hollemans
