First Halloween

10 months old today...when did THAT happen?!?!

At 10 months, Joshua is learning so many new things! He now says, "dada" and "mama" when prompted, gives high fives and kisses, and waves "bye-bye."

He is constantly on the move and never stops talking!

This kid just gets sweeter by the day!

Movie Marathon!

We have had a busy couple of weeks around here, so we decided that this afternoon seemed like a good time to kick back for a movie marathon! Our movies of choice...

Episodes IV, V & VI. Keisha and Richard, you should be proud! ;-)

Mommy, these movies are great!

The movies were good, and the snuggle time was even better!

Poor little guy only made it through 1.5 movies...he is now sleeping while Mommy and Daddy pop in the last one! Gotta love these relaxing Sunday afternoons!

Weekend Recap

This weekend, Mike's parents drove down from Michigan to visit us.

Friday morning, Joshy anxiously waited by the front door.
When are they gonna get here, Mommy?????

Grandpa and Grandma brought delicious Halloween-themed cupcakes, which our little munchkin promptly devoured!

As is tradition, we played LOTS of games. Joshua loves to sit on someone's lap and "participate." He was helping Grandma play Wizard.

He LOVES when his grandpas and grandmas come to visit!

Saturday morning breakfast of chocolate chip muffins - YUMMY! The picture doesn't even begin to show the disaster...chocolate in his ears, nose, hair, and belly button. This calls for a bath!

Saturday afternoon we went to Peoria to do some shopping. Our little man was so sleepy (he stubbornly skipped his nap), but still a very happy little shopper!

Eating out at Applebee's. Grandpa was cracking him up!

Thanks, Mom and Dad, for making the trip down to see us! We are so blessed to have such wonderful parents! We love you!

Rain!

Here in Fairview, we have not had any rain for nearly a month. Today, the farmers rejoice! Thank you, Lord, for the rain!

Just Can't Believe It!

Mike's Installation

This past Sunday, Mike was officially installed as the pastor of Fairview Reformed Church. The service was beautiful and the fellowship that followed was filled with rejoicing.

We were blessed by so many friends and family who attended the service to love and support us. Parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles, and many others joined us in the celebration!

God is good! He has already greatly blessed our ministry here in Fairview, and we can't wait to see what he has in store for us, our church and this community!
