32 Weeks

Can't believe we are only 8 weeks (or less?) away from meeting this little guy!  The summer is seriously flying by!

Had my 32-week check up today.  Still nothing new to report!  Baby boy is very active and I'm feeling great.  Think I had a bit of a bug last week because I felt pretty rotten for a few days, but back to normal now.  I am definitely feeling pregnant, LOL.  Starting to have less energy and wear out more easily.  Just means I have to take a few items off my "to do" list and add them to Mike's "honey do" list, right?!  Haha.  We have an ultrasound next week and I can't wait to see how much the little man has filled out and changed in the last 12 weeks!

Have a blessed day, friends!

Beach Time!

Just got back from a fantastic, relaxing week of camping at Lake Red Rock in Pella, Iowa.  We spent quite a few afternoons playing and keeping cool at the beach!  Here are some photos of all the fun.

Just Because

A friend of mine posted this to Facebook, and I find it absolutely hilarious!  It seriously drives me crazy when people park like this.  I should start carrying sidewalk chalk around in my trunk...

Joshua's Newest Obsession

Meet the newest residents of Hacienda Holleman...

Sheriff...

Lightning McQueen...

and Tow Mater!  Guess who named them?  :-)  Joshua can't get enough of them!

28 Weeks

I actually hit 29 weeks today, but this photo was taken last week.  Can't believe we're in the 3rd trimester already!  Still feeling great.  I really feel blessed to have had 3 relatively easy pregnancies.  I honestly love being pregnant and have little to no complaints.  That makes for boring pregnancy updates, I know, but I think that's a good thing!

According to BabyCenter, baby is the size of a butternut squash.  About 2.5 lbs & 15 inches long.  He still has lots of growing to do before his arrival in September!

I started making a list today of all the little things that need to be done before he gets here, and yikes...shouldn't have done that!  Our summer is packed to the hilt, so squeezing in all these projects will prove a little tricky, but I think Mike and I are up for the challenge!

Well, I have lots of laundry and cleaning to do after our trip, so I should get back to work.  Have a terrific Tuesday!

Krys

5 Years

Mike and I celebrated our 5th wedding anniversary on July 5th.  I can't believe 5 years have already gone by...that just doesn't seem possible!

With each day, I am more and more thankful for the wonderful man of God I married.  He is an amazing husband and father.  Love you, babe!  Can't wait to see what God has in store for the rest of our lives!

Pool Time

Just some photos of the big boy enjoying Grandma and Grandpa's pool!

Didn't get any pics of the little guy in the water.  Some days he liked it, and some days he didn't want anything to do with it.  Joshua couldn't get enough, though!

4th of July

We spent the 4th in Michigan with family and had such a wonderful time!

The boys thoroughly enjoyed the parade, water balloon fight with Uncle Adam, and fireworks.  Joshua was so excited...he kept saying, "That was a good one!  Wow!  This is so cool!  Look at those fireworks!  SPECTACULAR!"  He had us cracking up, LOL.

We are so thankful for all those who give their time and dedicate their lives to serving this country.  Thank you, Lord, that we live in a country where we are free to openly worship you and to think, speak and act as we choose!

Buddies

Joshua made a new friend while we were in Pella.  Karson is Josh's distant cousin, and is just a few months older.  The two had a great time playing together.  JJ hopes we can see Karson again when we head back to Pella in a couple weeks!

Cruisin'

When General Synod was over, Mike headed back to Fairview, and the boys and I drove up to my parents' house to spend a few days.  We had such a great time.  This is one of my favorite new pics of the boys, playing at Grandma and Grandpa's house.  Are they cute or what?!?!  :-)

Fun Times in Pella

Just a few pictures of the boys while we were in Pella last week.  One morning, we met some friends for breakfast/coffee at Smokey Row.  His breakfast options were muffins, bagels, a cinnamon roll, toast, eggs, bacon...and he chose a piece of French silk pie.  He is definitely my kid!  Haha.
Pella has this great wooden playground.  We went there to meet some friends, and after that, JJ kept wanting to go back.  We returned a couple times and the boys just had a blast.  Oh, and Pella has a TropicalSno, which has the best ever sno cones!!!!!
Guess who's walking full-time now?  We are so proud of our little man!  He took his time in getting there, but it's so fun to watch him now!  What a big boy!

The boys and I had a wonderful time visiting family and friends while we were in Pella.  We missed Daddy, who was in meetings all day every day, but it was still a nice trip!

Central Gals

I know, I know, I've been MIA for a couple weeks.  We've been out of town and just returned home Sunday.  And we take off tomorrow for Michigan!  Our summer is a whirlwind!

Anyway, while we were in Iowa, I had the opportunity to get together with my best friends from college.  We hadn't ALL been together since nearly a year ago, so it was wonderful to have dinner and catch up!  I love how we can go months (or a YEAR) without seeing each other and just pick up right where we left off!

So thankful for these girls!  Love you all!
