4 Months!

This little mister is 4 months old today...I know I sound like a broken record, but where is the time going?!?!



He is starting to be more and more playful, and spends lots of time grabbing, chewing on and cooing at his many toys.



The weather here has been beautiful lately...I took the boys outside yesterday and Luke decided it was the perfect weather for a nap in the sunshine! :-)



Little man is still on breast milk only. No idea what he weighs...we go to the doctor next week for his well-baby appointment...I am guessing close to 16 lbs. Joshua weighed 20 lbs. at his 4-month check-up, haha!



Luke is taking after his big brother and becoming quite a little ham!



He is such a giggle box! Today, Mike was holding Luke and I was telling Mike something, and every time I opened my mouth to talk, Luke cracked up! I couldn't even get a word out because he would just laugh and laugh, which, of course, got us laughing, too!



"Daddy and I agree: Mommy's the Boss!" Haha, you got that right!



The past 2 nights, the babe has slept TEN hours straight! I think it's a fluke...but still, it has been amazing! He normally sleeps 8-9 hours straight, then eats & goes back to sleep for 2-3 hours.



This sweet boy brings so much joy to our lives! Luke Brennan, we thank God for you!

Busy Weekend!

This past weekend we loaded up the boys for a quick trip to Michigan to visit friends and family.



Joshua got to play with his buddy A...the last time they played together was nearly a year ago, but they just picked back up as if no time had passed at all! It was wonderful for Momma and Daddy to be able to catch up with our friends A & W as well...we miss them so much, and love hearing about what's been going on in their lives!



Joshua thought the hotel we stayed at was pretty great. They had a pullout couch for him to sleep on, and there were always fresh cookies in the lobby. Here he is devouring a bedtime snack! :-)



This little man slept as if nothing had changed...thank goodness, because you never know how kids will do in a hotel!



We visited Mike's Grandma Holleman. She had never met Luke, and was thrilled to see the boys!



The two boys and their great-grandma. She had given Joshua a sucker and there was no getting him to take it out of his mouth for a photo...oh well!

We also had the opportunity to visit Great-Grandpa and Great-Grandma DePree, as well as many of Mike's aunts and uncles, and Momma got a chance to visit with girlfriends she hadn't seen in quite a while...what a blessed visit!

We were all pretty pooped after our whirlwind weekend, but we had a wonderful time! The boys and I are resting up a little bit today (and tackling the many loads of laundry that pile up whenever we go on a trip!), and hopefully we will get out to enjoy this warm weather! Happy Monday!

This past Monday was my birthday, and my boys took me out to celebrate!

Dinner at Buffalo Wild Wings - Momma's favorite place! Joshua thought it was pretty great, too!



Both boys were so well behaved. It was fun to be able to get out and enjoy some time as a family. I feel so blessed!



We headed to Coldstone Creamery for dessert. All in all, an excellent birthday!

25 feels pretty great. :-)

Fun Day Out

My mom, sister & I all have birthdays fairly close together, so this past Saturday, my parents & sister met us in Davenport to celebrate!



Mom & I treated ourselves to pedicures! We are ready for some fun in the sun!



The birthday girls. We shop, shop, shopped all day and had a wonderful time!



Our boys were good as gold all day (and it was a LONG day for them!), but both were spent when we got home. JJ vegged the rest of the evening on the sofa and watched movies, and both he & Luke slept late the next morning!

What a terrific day!

Spaghetti Night

This boy is all about food...wonder where he gets that from?!?! Hehe.



He literally cleaned his WHOLE plate. Then, when Mike took the plate away and went to get a wash cloth, he started eating his scraps off the table and his lap. He was bound and determined to get every last little bit!
