Are We There Yet?!?!?!

Today we leave for vacation in the Smokey Mountains with Mike's parents. We have been looking forward to this trip for so long, and now it is finally here! We'll drive halfway there tonight and make the rest of the trip tomorrow.

All packed up and ready to go - think all this stuff will fit in the car?????

Joshy is SO EXCITED! He has been squealing and giggling all morning, as if he knows something fun is about to happen!

I will try to keep you all updated on our adventures in Tennessee, but please bear with me! We don't know what the internet access will be like at the resort - I may just end up posting one HUGE blog when we return!

Love and blessings,
The Hollemans

Love Is in the Air!

What an absolutely amazing weekend! Yesterday, Adam and Sara Marcionetti were married, and we were so blessed to be part of their special day!

Joshua stayed home and enjoyed snuggle time with his Grandpa and Grandma Harthoorn.

The weather was absolutely perfect for a wedding!

Sara was a STUNNING bride...she could be a model for a bridal magazine or something!

They are so in love, and we are so very happy for them!

Marriage is truly a wonderful gift, and I am so blessed to have met the man God prepared for me! Love you so much, honey!

Holleman family photo - Joshua was not enjoying these photos, and ended up crying through most of the shots.

Our little family

Of course, as soon as the professional photos were over, Joshy was all smiles for MY camera!

Unfortunately, we did have to say goodbye to my parents this afternoon. It is always so hard to say goodbye, especially when you don't know when you might see each other again. We are so thankful they could be here this weekend - they helped us out so much! Joshua had to give his Grandpa lots of goodbye kisses!

After Grandpa and Grandma left, we took a little walk downtown. This kid LOVES his stroller!

And now we are just relaxing at home, watching movies and enjoying some much-needed snuggle time!

Our little guy has a bit of a cold, but he is such a trooper and still has lots of smiles for his Mommy and Daddy!

Well, friends, time to get back to our movie!

Love and blessings to you all!

Rehearsal Time!

Today, Mike's sister, Sara, is getting married! My parents drove up yesterday to spend the weekend baby-sitting so Mike and I can participate in the festivities - thanks, Mom and Dad!

Joshua watching the front door..."Aren't they here yet?!?!?!" ;-)

We had so much fun at the wedding rehearsal - here stand the almost newlyweds!

Practicing walking down the aisle!

That is one very excited bride!

I love this man...can't believe we're coming up on two years next month! Excited for many more wonderful years to come!

Bridesmaids with the bride

The lighting on this photo is a little weird, but I still think it's a great shot! I am so blessed to have such a wonderful sister-in-law! Love you, Sara!

Adam and Sara's wedding festivities begin tomorrow...woohoo!

JUNE!

Can you believe it's June already? Where did May go? This time of the year is so busy, it just seems to fly by!

What an absolutely gorgeous first day of June! Josh, Mike and I spent most of our time outdoors. We walked to the library, the park and to the post office.

Joshua had so much fun at the park!

He loved playing in the grass!

We ate lunch in downtown Holland at the New Holland Brewery. Sitting outside, enjoying lunch and drinks in the beautiful sunshine reminded me of my days in Spain. Those Spaniards could teach us a thing or two about just slowing down and enjoying life!

Joshy flirted with the waitress while Mommy and Daddy ate.

After lunch, it was time to play with Daddy!

Tonight we had dinner with our dear friends, the Wetzels. Anna LOVES "Baby Joshua" and is such a good helper with him! She loves to snuggle and hold him, despite the fact that they're nearly the same size! ;-)

Joshy, as you can see, ADORES his friend Anna!

After dinner, we returned home and JJ and I sat at our "new" piano! Mike's grandmother gifted us with her beautiful Baldwin piano - thanks, Grandma! Mommy played rather badly (she desperately needs to practice!), but Joshy was loving it, anyway!

He was so content to sit and listen to the "music," if you could even call it that, haha! Hopefully his piano skills will be better than his momma's one day!

Well, friends, the bed is calling to me...goodnight!

Love,
Mike, Krys and Joshua
